Types of requests

Faculties and departments should review their space allocations annually within the context of a multi-year plan to ensure the best use of allocated space. In early spring of each year, the faculties will be asked to submit their capital project requests for the upcoming five years. The submitted projects are intended to capture current and future requirements. The Space Planning Committee reviews all capital project requests annually; approved projects are then forwarded to the Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability (OCIS) Project office for execution.

Please provide full details of your capital project request on the Project Initiation Request Form and submit no later than August 31. All capital project initiation requests received after August 31 will be reviewed in priority sequence.

Faculties/departments can submit faculty-funded project requests any time throughout the year.  These requests will be reviewed and addressed as they are received.

The Facilities Management team is responsible for providing a safe and functional campus environment that supports the university's staff, students and faculty.
